Lesson 19: Composing and Sending an Email

Let's Send Your First Email!

It's Day 19, and now that you have your email account set up, it's time to learn how to compose and send your first message. Whether you're sending a quick note to a friend or attaching important documents, email is an easy and efficient way to communicate.

How to Compose and Send an Email:

  1. Log in to your email account.

  2. Click on the Compose or New Message button (usually found at the top of your inbox).

  3. In the To field, type the recipient's email address (e.g., friend@example.com).

  4. Enter a subject in the Subject line. This gives the recipient an idea of what your email is about.

  5. Type your message in the body of the email. You can format your text using options like bold, italics, or bullet points.

  6. When you're ready, click Send.

Why It's Important:

Knowing how to compose and send emails opens up many possibilities for personal and professional communication. Whether you need to send a quick note, an invitation, or a formal business letter, email is the go-to tool for many situations.

Try It Out:

Compose a simple email to yourself or a friend. Try using a subject line like "Testing my first email!" and write a short message. Once you're done, click Send and check your inbox to see if it arrives.

Pro Tip:

Always add a subject line to your emails. It helps the recipient understand the purpose of the email and makes it less likely to be ignored or end up in the spam folder.
