How to Copy or Move Files Between Folders

It's Day 70, and today we'll learn how to copy or move files between folders. This will help you organize your computer by placing files where they belong.


How to Copy or Move Files:

  1. Copying:

    • On Windows: Right-click the file, select Copy, go to the destination folder, and right-click to select Paste.

    • On Mac: Right-click the file, select Copy, then Paste it into the destination folder.

  2. Moving:

    • On Windows: Click and drag the file to its new folder.

    • On Mac: Hold Cmd while dragging the file to move it to another location.


Why It's Important:

Copying and moving files helps you keep them organized. Whether you need to make a backup copy of a document or move photos to a new folder, this is an essential skill for managing your files.

Find a file on your desktop and practice copying or moving it to another folder.


Pro Tip:

If you want to move multiple files at once, hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) and click each file you want to select. Then move or copy them all together.
